About the Owner

The studio is owned and operated by Josh Schroeder, a.k.a. “Metal Josh,” a moniker earned through his participation in the local music scene. He brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to the studio as an audio engineer, producer, musician, song writer, and graphic artist. His passion for music and the arts lead to the official opening of the studio publicly in 2008.

Random Awesome! Recording Studio has been designed with clients in mind. We know that the best performances are the result of talented, driven individuals working in a comfortable, supportive environment. We want you to be thrilled with each step of a project, not just with the final master. That means we keep our tone casual and our schedule flexible. By doing so, we hope to eliminate worries about time constraints, attitude conflicts, or other counterproductive elements that unfortunately can pop up at major studios.

From recording to mastering, we carefully consider each musician’s particular style. A band’s collective sound should be as unique as the individual artists involved. All too often, an album is mastered by someone who is not involved with the recording process and has not considered the unique characteristics of each performer. Josh provides mastering services on a personal level that cater to each member of the band, while retaining a cohesive and professional mix that doesn’t compromise the initial vision for the record.
